UNEP - Decade of Ecosystem Restoration
The UN Environment Programme's (UNEP) Decade of Ecosystem Restoration platform, built on Drupal 9 and React. Rudi was project lead, running a team of six: three Drupal developers, one React developer and two designers. The engagement was freelance, contracted through the Amsterdam digital agency The Garage, who sourced via Harvey Nash.

What made it unique
The platform is still in production today. That is a stronger claim than any screenshot: the UN still runs it. The engagement chain is itself proof of a working model — a top-tier recruiter to an EU agency to a UN client, with Rudi as the subcontracted senior lead. The environmental subject matter is also the direct ancestor of the biodiversity work MADDev does now.
